Simple Manifesto #52 – Make a Most Important Task list each day

This is part of our series on Leo Babauta’s Simple Living Manifesto. We invite you to join us on the journey.

The 52nd idea in the manifesto is:

Make a Most Important Tasks (MITs) list each day. Set just 3 very important things you want to accomplish each day. Don’t start with a long list of things you probably won’t get done by the end of the day. A simple list of 3 things, ones that would make you feel like you accomplished something. So what are ONE THING you doing today?

Do you know?

I’ve always found that feel so much better about the day when I feel like I’ve accomplished something — especially big projects.

But so often I end up filling my plate with so many tasks that I don’t ever feel like I accomplish a thing.

So instead, start the day with ONE THING you’ll get done during the day.

Perhaps it’ll be work related, perhaps it’ll be something with your family, perhaps it’ll be something specifically geared towards your long term goals.

Either way, pick that ONE THING and get it done. You’ll feel so much better at the end of the day knowing it was completed.

As an aside, hope you’re all enjoying your Memorial Day Weekend. Be sure and take the time to enjoy time with your family and friends on days like these.
